PIERRE, (KCCR) — Pierre Players Community Theater is preparing for its next set of performances with auditions coming up in two weeks on Monday, September 21st. Pierre Players will be taking on “The Glitter Girls, a comedy by Mark Dunn. Described as Steel Magnolias meet Survivor, The Glitter Girls follows an ad hoc meeting of a North Georgia woman’s social club named….you guessed it, The Glitter Girls. The group is convened by it’s oldest member who is nearing death and wishing to bequeath some of her wealth to a Sister of the Gleam and Sparkle. However, the entire group of Glitter Girls must decided who to award the money too. Pierre Players are seeking seven women and three men or off-stage help. The Glitter Girls will hit the stage November 13th through the 15th and 19th through the 21st. A pay-what-you-can performance will be held November 11th.
