The Stanley County football team grabbed its first win of the season on Friday with a late touchdown to beat the Hill City Rangers. Tonight, the Buffs travel to Martin to face the Bennett County Warriors.
The Warriors, just like the Buffaloes, are coming in at 1-1 on the season. The Warriors went toe-to-toe with the Wall Eagles in the opening game of the season, but ultimately fell 40-32 in one of the best games of week zero. Bennett County would trounce New Underwood 42-6 in the second game. Max Foth, head coach of the Stanley County Buffaloes says this Warriors team is as fast as any team in the state…
While the Buffs defense will have its hands full, Stanley County held Hill City to just one offensive touchdown in the win last Friday so the step was taken from week one to week two. Foth says Coach Fennell and Coach Hoftiezer did a great job of preparing the Buffs for the Rangers…
Foth says they have to win the turnover battle tonight against the Warriors…
Kickoff tonight between Stanley County and Bennett County is at 7:00 Central Time in Martin.
