The Pierre Governor golf team would place tenth as a team as Matthew Eberhard would lead the team tying for ninth on Tuesday at Lee Park Golf Course in Aberdeen.
Eberhard would shoot two over par, 73, just two shots back of fifth place and five shots back of Harper Schnabel of Aberdeen Roncalli who won the event at three under par, 68. In total, four golfers would be under par with another shooting even. Caleb Hutton for Pierre would be in 31st place at five over par, 76 while Tate Stoeser would be a shot behind him at six over par, 77. Beckham McPeck would round out the four scoring Governors at nine over par, 80. Ryker Edson and Rigley Kulesa would shoot an 87 and 88 respectively.
As a team, the Governors would finish at 22 over par, 306 in tenth place and were just eight shots back of fourth place and only 12 shots off the winner the Lincoln Patriots. Lincoln and O’Gorman would each shoot 10 over par, 294 while Aberdeen Roncalli was in third only one shot back at 295. Watertown, Roosevelt and Jefferson would be fourth through seventh.
