PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. The meeting will start with two items of special business. Commissioners will hear an update from the Pierre/Fort Pierre Historic Preservation Commission and an introduction of the Pierre Inaugural Committee with Matt and Kim Brakke. The Commission will consider an agreement for a plan update for the city’s 2027 to 2037 Comprehensive Plan. Commissioners will consider a street closure request for the annual Riggs Homecoming parade, the introduction of a plat change and a request to bid for 2027 electric materials. The Commission will see a wastewater collection study with Banner Engineering, a software renewal agreement with Eagleview and a change order and final pay application with Central Divers for the water intake injection line proposal. First reading of the 2027 budget ordinance will also be held. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 p.m.
