The Pierre Governor tennis team will get back on the court today traveling out west for the Rapid City Invite as the Govs will face two AA teams this morning and afternoon.
Pierre is 2-3 in duals so far on the season, but will face two new teams today, one being from the ESD. The Govs will take on Rapid City Central first before getting to take on Brandon Valley later in the afternoon. The Cobblers are also 2-3 to start the season after the loss to Rapid City Christian Monday. Both teams have wins over Spearfish while Pierre knocked off Yankton and Central lost to the Gazelles.
Then the Govs will take on Brandon Valley in its third ESD dual of the season. The Govs are 1-1 in the ESD with 5-4 scores in the win over Yankton and loss to Huron. Brandon Valley is coming in at 4-6 after sweeping Lennox and Roosevelt on Monday, beating the Roughriders for the second time already this year. The Lynx are 1-2 in ESD duals with losses to Harrisburg and Watertown with a 9-0 win over Brookings. In total, the Lynx are 3-3 in AA duals. Pierre is 1-1 in AA duals.
The Govs face Rapid City Central starting at 10:00 AM with then a dual against Brandon Valley to follow at Sioux Park in Rapid City.
