PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre City Commission has a full plate agenda tonight to close out August. Commissioners will consider approval of a five-item consent calendar including minutes and claims, appointments to the Rawlins Library Board and two raffle requests, filed by the Pierre Athletic Booster Club and Knights of Columbus. A public hearing will be held at 5:45 pm for a malt beverage transfer and the Street Department will update the Commission on the purchase of chip seal emulsion from last week. In new business, Commissioners will consider a street closure request filed by BankWest for a community party event on September 8th and a memorandum of understanding with W-H Prairie Bluff Apartments, L-L-C. The Commission will also consider approval of a T-S-A Law Enforcement Officer Reimbursement program agreement and Business Improvement District number one with the 2027 Budget. More outside agencies are set to make budget presentations tonight. They include the Pierre Economic Development Corporation, Missouri Shores Domestic Violence Shelter, The Right Turn and River Cities Public Transit. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm at the Pierre Municipal Building.
