The two day opening season golf event would come to a close Tuesday afternoon and the Pierre Governors would finish in 14th place as a team with Caleb Hutton getting a top 30 finish individually.
The Governors had its best finish of day two coming from Hutton who would be at seven over par 77 finishing the second day in 32nd place. Tate Stoeser and Rigley Kulesa, having the same score on Monday, both finished at 17 over par on Tuesday for an 87 while Beckham McPeck was 18 over par, 88 to round out the four scoring on the day. Josh Liudahl and Matthew Eberhard each were 23 over par, 93 finishing out the six Governors. Overall, for the two days, Hutton would be 27th, just five shots back of taking 13th place. McPeck was the second Governor at 58th place at 27 over par, 168 while Stoeser and Kulesa both being three shots behind him. Eberhard would finish at 33 over par and Luidahl at 42 over par. Mitchell’s Asher Dannenbring would win the event going under par both days, finishing two under par, 139. A total of four golfers finished day two under par with one more being even par. Lincoln’s Colton Clark would have the best second day at three under par, 67.
As a team, Pierre would be at a 663, two shots back of Mitchell and within 30 shots of jumping to 11th. Lincoln’s big second day was under par to help get the win beating Brandon Valley by 19 strokes after being tied after day one. The Patriots would be 11 over par 575 while Brandon Valley finished in second at 30 over par, 594. Washington, Brookings and Harrisburg would round out the top five.
