PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre School Board is holding it’s August meeting tonight. It is the final meeting before the start of the 2026-27 school year. The Board will consider approval of a nine-item consent calendar before hearing comments from Superintendent Dr. Donavan DeBoer. Any board and public comments will follow that. The Board will hear the Fiscal Year 2026 preliminary financial report and will consider approval for the Associated School Board of South Dakota Board of Directors. Board members will consider action on a heating and air conditioning system for Georgia Morse Middle School and declare district property as surplus. Other agenda items for the Pierre School Board tonight include approval for donations, contract items and out-of-district open enrollments. The Pierre School Board meets tonight at 5:30 pm at the District Administration Building on Poplar Avenue. The meeting is open to the community.
