FORT PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Fort Pierre City Council is meeting tonight to kick off August. Council members will hear updates and reports from city officials before getting into the fairly long agenda. Council members will consider temporary liquor license requests for the Chateau for Trader Days and Fun Time Adventures for a benefit bull ride at the Stanley County Fairgrounds. The Council will consider adoption of a resolution for an extension with Missouri River Energy Services, a state Department of Transportation utility easement and a 2026 mobile home court license application. The Council will consider approval of the authorization to pally for the State Water Plan for drinking water storage and associated projects, a health insurance renewal and approval of a picnic shelter at Tyler Wilcox Memorial Park. Other agenda items include approval of shop grading and a storm sewer project, approval of a Medical Director agreement and pay applications for Tatanka Trail, Benjamin Street and Ninth and Yellowstone. The Council is also scheduled to meet in executive session for safety reviews and Cybersecurity plans. The Fort Pierre City Council meets tonight at six pm at the South Dakota Municpal League meeting room.
