The Four Corners baseball team will be looking to win the district three championship as they take on the Kimball/White Lake Nationals at Chamberlain tonight.
Four Corners would beat Plankinton in the first game of the district tournament with a walk off victory last Saturday before winning 7-5 on Sunday over Winner to claim one of the spots in the state tournament, but can be the district champion if they can knock off the Nationals, the top seed of the district. Kimball/White Lake would win 15-0 over Chamberlain on Saturday to open the tournament before winning 12-2 over Burke on Sunday. The Nationals are coming in at at 15-1 on the season with it’s only loss to 4C 8-6 on July 12. The Nationals had beaten Four Corners 12-0 back on June 11. Andrew Coverdale had four RBIs in the win for Four Corners on July 12 while Kris Dozark added an RBI as Austin and Sam Hand held the Nationals bats down to just seven hits and six runs. Regardless of the outcome, both teams will be in state tournament which begins on August 5 back in Mitchell as the drawing will take place this next weekend.
First pitch from Chamberlain for the district championship will be at 7:30.
