PIERRE, (KCCR) — A Dupree man has been sentenced to just over a decade in federal prison on a charge of Voluntary Manslaughter. U-S Attorney Ron Parsons says 27 year-old Gradyn Blue Arm was sentenced by U-S District Judge Eric Schulte to 12 years in prison with three years of supervised release to follow the prison term. Blue Arm was indicted by a federal grand jury on the charge in September of last year. He pleaded guilty in April of this year. Parsons says that after being asked to leave a residence in Dupree on June 3rd of 2025, Blue Arm left, but returned to the property armed with a knife. Blue Arm then got into an argument with the victim and others at the front yard of the residence before walking away. The victims and others involved then followed Blue Arm, so then stabbed the victim in the abdoment with the knife. The stab wound killed the victim. Blue Arm was taken by the U-S Marshals Service to begin serving his sentence.
