The Oahe Zap will have a lot of momentum offensively heading into its best-of-three series against Casper to start the playoffs after scoring 26 runs in two games, but splitting the two against Spearfish on the weekend.
On Friday, the Zap would fall 21-11 in eight innings as Spearfish banged out 23 hits and scored in every inning but the fourth as the Sasquatch led 8-1 after the first and then 16-5 after five innings. Connor Goldberg would get five RBIs as he would be a triple shy of the cycle hitting a grand slam in the seventh. Emmanuel Ealey had three hits while Cy Taylor had two hits in the loss.
On Saturday, Oahe had an eight run seventh inning to propel themselves to a 15-11 win with a four run top of the tenth to secure the win. Goldberg would keep up the torrid pace going 4-5 with a double and four RBIs as he had a three run double in the tenth. Ty Farwell had three RBIs including a two run homer to get the eight run inning started. Ealey went 4-6 with two doubles and drove in two runs while Taylor and Gavin Fraser each had a double in the win as Oahe had 20 hits. The eight run inning took a 7-3 deficit to the 11-7 lead before Spearfish would tie it in the eighth. Brady Glenn would get the win on the mound going the final two innings allowing just two hits.
