The Oahe Zap would fall to the Bison Baseball team beginning a quick four game series at Hyde Stadium in Pierre as the Bison would pick up a 9-6 win Monday night.
Oahe led 2-1 in the bottom of the first after a two run Connor Goldberg home run, but it would be the last time the Zap would lead in the game. The Bison would score four runs in the top of the second and another run in the third to lead 6-4 before scoring three in the seventh to take a 9-4 lead. After scoring two runs in the bottom of the eighth, Oahe would get just one runner on in the ninth. Cy Taylor had a solo homer in the bottom of the third and Brady Glenn would had an RBI single for the Zap as Goldberg finished 3-4, a triple shy of the cycle with two RBIs. It’s the third win of the season for the Bison as they’re now 3-12 having won all three games against the Zap. They’re 0-9 against the Spearfish Sasquatch and Casper Spuds, the other two Independence League teams.
The series will continue today with a doubleheader. First pitch of game one is at 5:35 with game two to follow. The home finale will be on Wednesday at 7:05 at Hyde Stadium.
