PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre School Board is meeting at the District Administration Building tonight. Tonight is the district reorganizational meeting meaning an extensive two page agenda to fit a 21-item consent calendar. Comments will be presented by the Superintendent, Board members and the public to be followed by the reorganizational actions. Among those actions are electing a president and vise president for the school board and establishing members for eight standing committees. The Board will go over it’s annual review of South Dakota’s open meetings laws and will consider final action on revisions to the T-F Riggs High and Elementary school handbooks. Final action and adoption will also be considered for the job description for a Georgia Morse In-School Suspension Supervisor/Academic Coach job. Other agenda items for consideration by the Pierre School Board includes open enrollments, donations, surplus property and contract items. The Pierre School Board meets at 5:30 pm.
