PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Hughes County Commission is meeting in regular session, but earlier than usual on Tuesday. The Commission will get an update on recover efforts from last week’s wind storm and discuss the county’s pre-disaster mitigation plan. Commissioners will also consider accepting the resignation of Todd Johnson from the Hughes County Planning and Zoning Commission. The Commission will get an update on city rezoning and office space for the State’s Attorney’s Office. Other agenda items include budget supplement, the IworQ Systems Highway and personnel items. The meeting is starting earlier than the usual three-pm time for holding discussion on the County’s next budget. The Hughes County Commission will meet Tuesday morning at eight-am in the second floor county commission room. The meeting is open to the community.
