The Oahe Zap will be at home this weekend to celebrate the Fourth of July the right way, with some baseball. Oahe will host the Capital City Aviators Friday and Saturday and then hosting the Bison Baseball Team on Sunday and Monday.
Oahe is coming in trying to extend its best stretch of baseball this summer with four games against Aviators and Bison before a three day break Tuesday through Thursday. It’s also a chance for fans to celebrate the Fourth of July weekend with a lot of baseball games as the Zap will hope to provide the fireworks throughout the weekend. Friday, Saturday and Monday games will start at 6:05 with Sunday’s game at 5:05 all at Hyde Stadium in Pierre. As the Independence League season hits the final month, Oahe needs to start making up ground quickly on Casper and Spearfish and while they were able to do so against Casper, these games are must win as they count for the season standings. Of the 20 games remaining, nine of those are against Spearfish and Casper with three at home against the Sasquatch and the remaining six on the road with a four game set still to play in Casper.
