FORT PIERRE, (KCCR) — Two statues were unveiled and dedicated Friday along Tatanka Trail, a new walking path adjacent to the highways entering Fort Pierre. Star quilts were gifted to Dupree’s sculptor John Lopez and Sculpture Committee chair Gloria Hanson. The sculptures are privately funded and no tax dollars were used to fund construction of the artwork.
