PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. The meeting will start with three items of special business. That special business includes a update from the State Historical Society on the opening of the State Museum; and update on a lighting project for cornhole boards at Devine Park and a visit from the USS Pierre crew members. The first action for the Commission is consideration of a three-item consent calendar including minutes and claims and a new seasonal hire for the Solid Waste Department. It’s all new business to the end of the meeting. Commissioners will consider approval of temporary liquor license requests filed by Larkspur Landing Event Center. The events will be held July, August October, November and December. Commissioners will discuss the Missouri River Overlook Trail, Water Services Agreement with Eldon Becker and Solid Waste Refuse Hauler agreement. The Commission will also give first reading to ordinance revisions regarding the use of E-bicycles in the city. The meeting will end with Commissioners presenting any dialogue they may have. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm. The meeting is open to the community.
