The Oahe Zap are back on the field tonight after a four day break as the Zap host the Capital City Aviators starting a four game set all at Hyde Stadium in Pierre.
The Zap had Sunday’s game against the Spearfish Sasquatch rained out which put the already three day break starting on Monday, begin a day earlier. Oahe will look to use the break to their advantage as they try and turn their season around sitting at 4-15 currently. The Zap have lost eight of the last nine including being swept by Spearfish twice. It’s the start of 12 straight day of games for Oahe and the Zap will face the Aviators six times of those 12 games along with the Bison Baseball team coming to town at the end of the 12 game stretch. Capital City is 2-12 after falling to Spearfish on Tuesday to close its two game set with the Sasquatch. Oahe is currently nine and a half games back of the Casper Spuds for second place in the Independence League as the top two teams will make the championship series at the end of July.
First pitch tonight is scheduled for 6:05 between the Zap and Aviators at Hyde Stadium.
