PIERRE, (KCCR) — A light agenda comes before the Pierre City Commission tonight. There is no special business on the agenda and Commissioners will consider approval of a five-item consent calendar. The calendar includes approval of minutes from the last meeting and claims along with a seasonal new hire in the Recreation Department; an appointment to the Park and Recreation Committee and a raffle request filed by the Pierre Swim Team. Two items of unfinished business will come before the Commission tonight. A public hearing will be held at 5:45 pm for a petition to vacate sections of Attica and Evans Streets and final approval will be considered for a plat change in the Greeley and Sharp’s Addition; in an action connected to the public hearing at 5:45 pm. Two new business items will adorn the agenda for Commissioners. Commissioners will consider approval of a drop inlet replacement project on Broadway Avenue and will hold the Canvass for last week’s Pierre Mayoral election. The canvass will provide for the official certification of the election’s results last week. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm at the Pierre Municipal Building.
