PIERRE, (KCCR) — BankWest is helping 24 students continue their education with the awarding of two-thousand dollars scholarships. BankWest Chairman and C-E-O Charles Burke the Third says the students represent the future of our communities and demonstrate leadership, perseverance and a genuine desire to give back. Regional recipients include Madison Bradberry and Olivia Olson of Onida; Caysen Gran of Kennebec; Addisen Heenan of Winner; Kathryn Hostler, Jacoby Taylor, Brianna Sargent, Cayden and Caleb Morris and Chseney Kalda of Pierre; Harper Reichling of Fort Pierre; Madisyn Nemecek of Kadoka and Cadence Konechne of Kimball. BankWest has awarded over 676-thousand dollars to student account holders during the past 33 years. The scholarships recognize academic achievement, leadership, work ethic and community involvement. Burke says BankWest is proud to support the students educational journeys and to invest in the next generation of professions who will strengthen South Dakota. BankWest has branches in Kadoka, Kennebec, Onida, Pierre and Winner with stand-alone insurance offices in Murdo, Philip and Presho.
