PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. Commissioners will consider approval of a five-item consent calendar including meetings and claims approval; new hires for the Electric Department and Outdoor Pool and an appointment to the Housing and Redevelopment Commission. A public hearing is set for 5:45 pm for consideration of a temporary alcohol license for Oahe Days on June 19th-20th. Along with that, the Commission will consider approval of a number of special requests from the Oahe Days organizing committee. An introduction will be made and public hearing set for a plat change request in the Greeley and Sharp’s Addition. First reading will be given to an ordinance for a rezoning in the Wall Plaza Addition. Setting a public hearing is also included in that request. Commissioners will also consider a request to surplus the Tri-County Rescue Boat and second reading of a budget supplement for a new Rescue Boat. Commissioners will round out the meeting by presenting any dialogue they may have. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm.
