FORT PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Fort Pierre City Council is meeting tonight at the South Dakota Municipal League meeting room. Council members will get reports from city officials before moving on to the main agenda. The Council will consider approval of a temporary liquor license for the Silver Spur for an event at the Pat Duffy Community Center on June 6th and will consider approval of a fireworks permit filed by Smith Fireworks for Stanley County Youth Wrestling. Council members will also consider accepting a hay bid and an extension of a joint cooperative agreement and financial commitment with the Central South Dakota Enhancement District. The Council will consider accepting a cost estimate from Morris Incorporated for the 2nd Street Mill and Overlay, a pay application from Sharpe for Tatanka Trail and an authorization to purchase land for a water tower. Other agenda items include consideration of three resolutions. One is regarding voluntary lawn watering and the other two for plat changes. The Fort Pierre City Council meets tonight at six pm.
