PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. Commissioners will consider approval of an eight-item consent calendar. The calendar includes approval of minutes and claims, new hires for the street, electric and utilities departments, a promotion in the police department, a wage correction in the engineering department and a raffle request for the Get Up and Get Outdoors benefit for Make-a-Wish. In unfinished business, a public hearing will be held at 5:45 pm for an airport hay lease and a bid award will be considered for the Airport Parallel Taxiway C project. In new business, two items connected to the Taxiway C project will be considered. One is for an F-A-A grant application and the second for a construction services agreement with H-W Lochner. Commissioners will consider approval of a street closure request and temporary alcohol license for the Sioux Avenue Cruise night and a resolution designating an authorized representative for Missouri River Energy Services will be considered. First reading of a budget supplement for purchase of a Tri-County Rescue boat from the Tri-County Rescue fund is also on the agenda. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm.
