The Gettysburg Battlers will be hosting the Super Regional Meet today as teams will wrap up the regular season in the last chances to qualify for the state competition which begins next week.
The Battlers will host three Class A schools with Stanley County being one of the three teams. The Buffs will be joined by Mobridge-Pollock and Cheyenne-Eagle Butte from Class A. The Sully Buttes Chargers will be in Gettysburg along with Highmore-Harrold, Hoven and host Gettysburg from the local area. It’s the last competition of the season for all of these teams with next week Thursday being the start of the state competition in Sioux Falls. There will be a total of 23 teams in Gettysburg today making it the biggest event in terms of teams on the final days of competition.
The field events begin at 10:00 AM and the track events start at 12:00 at the Gettysburg Sports Complex.
