PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. A light agenda will come before the Commission tonight. Even the consent calendar is short this week. The calendar includes approval of minutes and claims, a season fire department new hire and a raffle request filed by the Oahe Zap for 50/50 drawings at home baseball games. One item of unfinished business will come before the Commission. Commissioners will consider awarding a bid for landfill bale bags. In new business, the Commission will consider approval of a street closure request for the annual Run with the Govs event set for June 13th. Commissioners will also consider approval of a Tri-Country Rescue Boat and a replacement switch for the Pierre Substation. Commissioners will round out the meeting by presenting any dialogue items they may have. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm. The meeting is open to the community to attend.
