The Pierre Governor golf team will be playing in Watertown today at the Cattail Golf Course, the site of the Class AA State Tournament, just two weeks away from day two of the tournament.
It’s a great opportunity for the Governors to get some work on the course where they will return to in two weeks at the AA state tournament as Pierre is down to the final three meets of the regular season including today. The Govs will travel to Brookings on Thursday and then to Aberdeen next week Tuesday for the ESD. Pierre has utilized a full team for just a hand full of times this season, all coming in the second half of the year as Taylor Crawford, Ava Gray and Charlotte Brakke have joined Hadley Hart, Sittie Kasan and Drew Rechtenbaugh. While the final scores are as important as the state tournament scores, today gives Pierre a chance to see how the course will play and be able to understand it better and be fresh in the memory in less than two weeks.
Tee time is at 10:00 AM from the Cattail Golf Course in Watertown.
