PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. There is plenty of special business on the agenda for tonight. Three items of special business make up the first part of the meeting. They include a proclamation for National Police Week and National Peace Officers Memorial Day. Commissioners will also hear an update from the Capital City Band and an update on construction of the state Public Health Lab. The Commission will consider approval of a five-item consent calendar including approval of minutes and claims, a raffle request for the Sioux Avenue Cruise and setting public hearings for May 26th and June 2nd. In unfinished business, a public hearing will be held at 5:45 pm for a conditional use permit for multi family use for the Stencil project. Two items of new business come before the Commission tonight. Commissioners will consider approval of a storm drainage repair on Ridgeway Place and renewals of 2026 malt beverage licenses. Commissioners will end the meeting by presenting any dialogue they may have. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm.
