PIERRE, (KCCR) — A busy agenda will come before the Pierre School Board tonight. The Board will consider approval of an eight-item consent calendar before hearing comments from Superintendent Dr. Kelly Glodt. Board and public comments will follow with no presentation from the Riggs Student Senate. Board members will consider approval of designating official bank depositories and action will be considered on official rates and entry fees and activity ticket prices for next school year. The Board will also consider rates for substitutes and meal prices for next year. Board members will also hear the preliminary Fiscal Year 2027 proposed budget and will consider South Dakota High School Activities Association items including electing of a representative and constitutional amendments. First reading will be given to handbook changes for the middle school, administrators and classified employees. Other agenda items include the Fiscal Year 2026 audit review, open enrollments, resignations, contracts and donation approval. The Pierre School Board meets at 5:30 tonight at the District Administration Building.
