The Pierre Governor softball team is at home for a weekend set of games with Sioux Falls schools coming to town as the Govs will face all four of the public schools.
The Governors are coming in at 4-5 and will face some stiff competition both days with undefeated Jefferson on Friday and one loss Washington on Saturday. Pierre will take on Lincoln first who is coming in at 6-7 on the year and then will also start the day on Saturday with 6-6 Roosevelt. It’s the first round robin for Pierre to host in high school sanctioned softball and Pierre will look to make the most of the home field advantage this weekend with a lot of seed points up for grabs. Aberdeen Central is in town to give the Sioux Falls teams a second game each day. We are two and a half weeks away from the SoDak 16 games.
First pitch on Friday against Lincoln is at 1:00 with the game against Jefferson at 4:00. Then on Saturday, the Govs will take on Roosevelt at 11:00 and then at 2:00 against Washington at the Pierre softball fields.
