11 total teams would gather at Miller High School on Tuesday competing in the Miller Invite which included locally Stanley County, Gettysburg, Hoven and Lyman.
Stanley County
The Stanley County Buffaloes would get two wins with Trevor Caldwell winning the shot put throw while Paxton Deal, Landon Bame, Brendon Bothwell and Eddie Duffy would win the 4×200 relay. Jace Hand would end up in second in the javelin throw for the Buffs while Jack Deal, Bame, Bothwell and Paxton Deal would also be second in the 4×100 relay. Ryland Magee grabbed a second place finish in the 800 meters. Jaxton Hoftiezer would get third in the discus and also in the shot put. Jack Deal was fifth in the 100 meters and Keaten Metzler finished fifth in the javelin. For the Lady Buffs, Austyn Norman, Addy Deal, Ryan Bothwell and Brianna Sargent placed second in the 4×100 for the best finish for the girls while also placing third in the 4×200 and fifth in the 4×400. Taylor Barta would be fifth in the discus throw.
Miller
The host Miller Rustlers would get four wins as Isaak Hunter winning the 110 meter hurdles while Bryleigh Resel would win the shot put and Paige Werdel would win the javelin and long jump. Continuing with the Miller girls, Kate Lichty would get second in the long jump and triple jump while Chelsie Fischer, Karlie Graham, Jessa Resel and Natalie Bowar would be second in the sprint medley relay race and Hailey, Paige and Gracen Werdel with Jordyn Pugh would be second in the 4×200. On the boys side, Hunter was also second in the 300 meter hurdles and Chase Hurd would be fourth in the long jump and the team of Joseph Baker, Haistyn Huss, Balten Werdel and Hurd would be fourth in the 4×100 and fifth in the 4×200.
Gettysburg
The Gettysburg Battlers had wins from Emma Schlachter in the 800 meters and Jaycee Stevens in the 3200 meters. Layla Cronin would be second in the 1600 meters, Finlee Heien in the 300 meters and Heien, Schlachter, Beth Seurer and Paige Ahlemeier in the 4×400 relay. Heien was also fourth in the 100 meter hurdles. The Battler boys had a second place finish from Bradly Vasquez in the 3200 meters while Lukas Fersch, Easton Rausch, Ayden Forgey and Raul Gautier would be third in the 4×100 and Rausch, Teegan Arpan, Izaya Velasquez and Michael Jager would be third in the 4×800. Jackson Simon would be fourth in the 400 meters.
Lyman
The Lyman Raiders had four wins as Brooke Montgomery would win the 100 and 200 meter runs and Connor Samco would win the boys 100 and 200 meter runs. Miley Erikson would be second in the 100 meter hurdles with Chloe Collins being third. Collins would get third in the 300 meter hurdles and Erikson in fourth. Back on the boys side, Jesse Bower, Chace Seaboy, Cole Kieffer and Samco would be second in the 4×200. Kieffer was also third in the 110 hurdles and fourth in the 300 meter hurdles. Desmerius McGhee would be fourth in the discus and Gage Manger, Adam Rockwood, Urijah Moran and Jude Miller would be fourth in the 4×800.
Hoven
Dannika Kaup had the two wins for the Hoven Greyhounds winning the 100 and 300 meter hurdles while also placing third in the long jump. Jordan Kaiser, Kea Cronin, Ava Griese and Brynn Huber would third in the sprint medley relay. For the Greyhound boys, Collin Quidachay and Easton Hobert would be second and third in the triple jump as the lone top five finishes overall.
