19 total teams would be in Presho on Thursday for the Cecil Johnson Invite including Stanley County, Miller, Highmore-Harrold, Jones County with host Lyman.
Stanley County
The Stanley County Buffaloes would get two wins with Trevor Caldwell winning the shot put and Jaxton Hoftiezer winning the discus throw. Caldwell would get sixth in the event. Keaten Metzler would place second in the javelin followed by Justin Trebbe in third. For the Lady Buffs, Carlee Brady would get a fourth place finish in the javelin while Taylor Barta would place tenth for the two top ten finishes.
Miller
The Miller Rustlers would get two second place finishes with Brleigh Resel in the shot put and Paige Boomsma in the discus each placing second. Kate Lichty and Rylie Moss would be third and fourth in the triple jump while Lichty was also sixth in the long jump and javelin. Charlee Jensen was fifth in the shot put. On the boys side, Chase Hurd and Corbin Allen n the 400 meters and 110 meter hurdles would get fourth place while Hurd was also fifth in the long jump and the two would team up with Joseph Baker and Blaten Werdel in the 4×100 relay to place fifth. Haistyn Huss was also fifth in the 800 meters.
Highmore-Harrold
The Highmore-Harrold Pirates would get two wins with Autumn Fallis winning the girls 800 meters and Brooks McPeak winning the boys 3200 meters. McPeak was also second in the 1600 meters. Jordan Erfman was third in the 800 meters and fourth in the 300 meter hurdles. Erfman, Carter and Jonah Webb and Braxtyn Hall were fifth in the 4×400. For the Pirate girls team, Whitley Baloun was third in the 300 meter hurdles while Tenley McDonnell, Delia Ginsbach, Emma Salathe and Jaylee Fallis were third in the 4×200 relay. Addison McDonnell would be fourth in the shot put and fifth in the javelin. Destiny McCauley was fifth in the discus.
Jones County
The Jones County Coyotes had three wins with BreAna Aske winning both the 200 meters and long jump while Addison Rankin would win the high jump. Aubrey Tucker would be third int he 800 meters. The Coyote boys had just two top finishes with Bennett Kinsley in fifth in the 1600 meters and the team of Mason Nix, Jesse Schoon, Titan Eriksen and Celton McKenzie getting fifth in the 4×200.
Lyman
The host Lyman Raiders had four wins as a team as Conor Samco won the 100 and 200 meter sprints while Chloe Collins would win the 100 meter hurdles and the team of Gage Manger, Adam Rockwood, Urijah Moran and Jude Miller placing first in the 4×800 relay. Cole Kieffer was second in the high jump, Chase Seaboy second in the 110 and 300 meter hurdles, Kenzie Wagner in the 800 meters, Collins in the 300 meter hurdles, Brooke Montgomery in the 200 meters and the team Collins, Chacelyn Nogy, Miley Erikson and Claire Griffith second in the 4×400.
