The Pierre Governor golf team would battle a brisk day on the links at home at Hillsview Golf Course and would finish in fifth place as a team as Hadley Hart would take sixth place.
The Govs were led by Hart’s nine over par, 80 on Tuesday as she was just two shots back of fourth place and five shots back of third place. Hart would finish with a birdie on hole seven. Drew Rechtenbaugh would be in 24th place for Pierre at 21 over par, 92 while Sittie Kassan was in 26th at 25 over par, 96. It was also the first day Pierre would have six players competing and Charlotte Brakke would make her season debut at a 103, Taylor Crawford at 111 and Ava Gray at 115 as they would make their season debut and even their varsity debut. Aberdeen Central’s Olivia Braun would win the day going one under par, 70 as she had four birdies overall. She would beat teammate Emma Dohrer by three shots. The Golden Eagles won the team score with a 17 over par, 301, 30 shots better than Mitchell who was 47 over par. Pierre finished at 87 over par, 371, five shots back of fourth place Stevens.
Pierre will quickly turnaround and head to Aberdeen to play at Lee Park Golf Course on Thursday. Tee time is at 10:00 AM.
