The fisherman battled the colder conditions all weekend and the rain on Sunday for the fourth annual Sharpe Showdown held this past weekend with Justin Cole and Melissa Daughtrey taking home the top spot.
The duos second day weight of 13.05 was the best weight of the two days from any team and propelled them from third into first with a total weight of 22.71, five better than second place. The Skippers, Lorin and Justin would place second with a total weight of 17.19, holding off Ryan Weekly and Travor Diegel who finished in third at 17.15. Weekly and Diegel though did get the biggest fish winner of 4.88 during day one. The duo was also the highest finishing team after day one with a weight of 11.52.
A total of 34 teams competed at this year’s Sharpe Showdown marking the fourth annual event hosted by the Pierre Area Chamber and the Fishing Crew. You can see a full list of the results by following the link below.
