The Sully Buttes Charger track and field team will be hosting the Charger invite today with a total of 21 teams coming to Onida for the day’s event.
The Chargers will be hosting the Pierre JV squad coming from the AA ranks while Miller will be in town as the only A team. The remaining 19 teams are all Class B teams as Gettysburg, Highmore-Harrold, Jones County and Lyman will be in Onida from the local area. It’s the lone home event of the season with the Yellowstone Trail Conference Meet and the Central South Dakota Conference meet in Gettysburg this year. The Chargers have also shifted on how the week will conclude as the Sully Buttes was scheduled to be at the Legion Relays on Friday in Pierre but will head to Ipswich instead on Saturday citing the best scenario academically for the kids to not have to miss school.
The Field events begin at 10:00 AM with the track events to start at 12:30 at the Sully Buttes High School Track Complex in Onida.
