The Pierre Governor tennis team will have two weekday dates this week beginning today in Sioux Falls for a triangular hosted by the Washington Warriors.
The Governors will be in Sioux Falls today before finally having its home opening triangular on Thursday. Pierre lost both triangulars last week as the Govs lost to both Watertown and Huron last Saturday and then to Sioux Falls Christian and Harrisburg on Monday. Overall, Pierre is 1-7 to start the season and are 0-3 in the ESD. Today, the Govs will face another ESD team in Brandon Valley while also taking on Washington. Washington is 1-5 overall after facing both O’Gorman and Jefferson last Thursday. Brandon Valley has had a strong start to the year as they sit at 6-3 after falling to Mitchell on Thursday. The Lynx are 3-2 in the ESD with the other loss to the Harrisburg Tigers. Pierre will be at home on Thursday to host Brookings and Aberdeen Central which will also be senior recognition for the Governors that day.
Pierre will face Washington at 11:00 AM followed by its dual against Brandon Valley following the conclusion of the Washington dual.
