The Pierre Governor track and field team will conclude its week with a trip to Rapid City for the Track-O-Rama with a total of 23 teams competing today.
The Governors had over 130 top ten finishes at the Bob Judson invite on Tuesday at home, the first home event of the season for Pierre with still the Legion Relays and Capitol City Qualifier to be held at Hollister Field. Pierre won a total of 18 events at the home meet on Tuesday. The Govs will see five other AA schools with Rapid City Central and Stevens the host teams with Spearfish, Sturgis and Douglas in town. All Class A and B teams at the event will be West River schools. After Thursday’s meet, Pierre will be back home next week Friday for the Legion Relays.
The day begins at 10:30 Central Time with the field events followed by the track events at 11:30 at O’Harra Stadium at the South Dakota School of Mines.
