PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Pierre School Board is holding its April meeting tonight. The Board will recognize the Riggs ProStart team and consider approval of a seven-item consent calendar before hearing comments from Superintendent Dr. Kelly Glodt. Board and public comments will follow along with an update from the Riggs Student Senate. The Board will consider action on Elementary School Boundaries and will discuss the 2026 School Board Election Board members will consider approval of a South Dakota High School Activities Association resolution and a resolution regarding renewal of the South Dakota District Benefit Health Fund for the next school year. The Board will consider food bids for next year along with taking action on the negotiated agreement for certified employees and compensation, district contributions to benefits and hiring schedule for classified employees. Similar action will be considered on administrator compensation. Other agenda items include out-of-district open enrollments, donations, resignations and contract items. The Pierre School Board meets at 5:30 pm in the District Administration building.
