FORT PIERRE, (KCCR) — The Stanley County School District will benefit from American Bank and Trusts’ Spirit Card program. The Spirit Card program provides school-themed debit cards to customers in and near school district’s where American Bank and Trust has branches. A percentage of purchases made on a card is donated to the district represented on the card. Stanley County was gifted two-thousand 580 dollars this year through the Spirit Card program. The District intends to fund new drums and rhythm instruments with the funds along with water safety classes through the Oahe Family Y-M-C-A, a new book shelf and new E-Books and books for students. Last year, the Spirit Card program donated two-thousand 382-dollars to Stanley County School. Stanley County Schools have benefited from the Spirit Card program since 2013, putting the money to use on items such as grass seed for sports fields, new playground equipment, sports jerseys, library books, desks, stage lighting, microscopes and spotlights for the theater department.
