It’s the first of two times competing at Watertown, the other being the state competition as the Pierre Governor dance team would place eighth and the cheer team in 15th.
The Governor dance team would get a fourth place finish in pom scoring a 255 while being sixth with a 248 in the hip-hop division and at 32 points for scoring the Govs would place eighth as they were just a point behind seventh and sixth place. Brandon Valley would win both of its categories for a 40 score winning the day in Watertown.
For the Governor cheer team, the Govs would score a total of 185.5 to place 15th but were within 21 points of reaching the top ten for the evening. Harrisburg, at 292 would win the team score and be the champion of the night beating out Brookings by three and a half points.
