PIERRE, (KCCR) — Again, a light agenda comes before the Pierre City Commission tonight. Even the consent calendar is light. Four items make up the calendar including approval of meeting minutes from the September 2nd meeting, the claims, a raffle request filed by St. Joseph’s Catholic School and the appointment of Kevin Larson to the Arbor Board. As for the main agenda only three items make it up. Commissioners will consider approval of a temporary special event alcohol license for the Longbranch for an event at the Missouri Avenue Event Center on September 27th and a change order and final payment request for the city’s 2025 Aggregate Base Course bid. The last agenda item is considering second reading and approval of the 2026 Budget Ordinance, setting the city budget for nest year. Commissioners will end the meeting by presenting any dialogue they may have. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at at 5:30 pm at Pierre Municipal Building. The meeting is open to the public.
