PIERRE — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. Tonight’s meeting will begin with a Covid-19 update in special business before Commissioners consider approval of a six-item consent calendar. The calendar includes minutes from the March 2nd meeting, new hires for the police department and library, an employee transfer, a new dive team member and the claims. Unfinished business includes an second reading of an update to the water service ordinance and second reading of surcharge language changes to the wastewater ordinance. Commissioners will consider a fee schedule update and a request to surplus property. Commissioners will close out the meeting by presenting any dialogue they may have. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm.
