Third Quarter Dooms Stanley County in Loss to Mobridge-Pollock

The Stanley County Buffaloes and Mobridge-Pollock Tigers met for the second time in the last three weeks and the Tigers, this time at home, got a second straight win 54-40 sending them into the SoDak 16 on Tuesday.

The Third quarter was where the game was won. The Tigers held the Buffaloes, who led at the half 25-24, to just three points. One of the big reasons for success was the Tigers were able to hold down the big man, Nathan Cook for just seven points on the night. Lathan Prince tied for the game high 14 as he was the only player in double figures for the Buffaloes. Cayden Eisemann and Bryston Goehring also scored 14 points each for Mobridge-Pollock.

Stanley County’s season ends with an 11-9 record on the year. Mobridge-Pollock will face Winner in the 7-10 matchup in Jones County on Tuesday in the Class A SoDak 16.
