When that happens, a 10 foot width restriction will go into effect over the bridge, meaning oversized loads will be directed over the Oahe Dam. The bridge will end up with a far different profile than the current Missouri River crossing…
Crews are still working to finalize pedestrian paths on the Pierre side of the bridge project and time lapse camera are being set up to document construction for historical reference.
