Oahe Capitals Girls Varsity Begins State Tournament

The Oahe Capitals girls varsity tournament begins on Friday in Watertown as the Oahe Capitals are the eight seed facing the top seeded Aberdeen Cougars in the first round of the tournament.

This Capitals team will be looking to send the lone senior, Jenna Keyser out with a strong tournament. Olivia Swenson led the Caps this year in scoring with 10 goals and a team high 12 points. Brylee Kafka totaled six goals as she finished second on the team in goals and third in points behind Sara Bierne who had nine points with five goals and four assists. Abigail Stewart-Fromm has a save percentage of .867 along with a shutout in the win over Huron.

All 11 games of the state varsity tournament will be on Capital City Rock, capitalcityrock.com and on YouTube at Capital City Rock Sports. The Capitals play at 7:30 on Friday in the first round matchup against Aberdeen.
