FORT PIERRE — The Stanley County Commission is meeting tonight at the Stanley County Courthouse in Fort Pierre. The Commission will consider approval of the agenda and minutes from the February meeting along with approval of the claims and hearing the Treasurer’s and Auditor’s report. Commissioners will consider an abatement request and hear from Stanley County Fairgrounds Manager Scott Deal. Deal will discuss hiring help, paint and stall fronts. Highway Superintendent Lee Smith will discuss a 2014 Freightliner Cab, V-W truck rebate program, gravel and the 2021 local federal bridge replacement program with the Commission. First reading will be given to an ordinance that would combine county offices and Commissioners will consider approval of a resolution declaring Stanley County as a Second Amendment Sanctuary County. The Commission will also consider a raise in the States Attorney’s office, an automatic supplement for law enforcement equipment, a raffle request and the Commission will meet twice in executive session. The Stanley County Commission meets tonight at five pm.
