PIERRE — The Pierre City Commission is meeting tonight at the Pierre Municipal Building. Commissioners will consider approval of a five-item consent calendar. The calendar includes minutes from the February 23rd meeting, a new hire in the business office, two raffle requests and the claims. The Commission will consider awarding bids for both the 2021 curb and gutter and 2021 street paving projects. Commissioner will get an update on progress with the John Waldron Memorial Bridge project from the South Dakota Department of Transportation and will introduce a plat. Commissioners will also consider an update to the water service ordinance and an update to the surcharge language in the city’s wastewater rate ordinance. The Commission will also consider approval of a land gift from Divot Estates. The Pierre City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 pm.
