The Pierre Governor faithful welcomed home the wrestling team Monday night at Riggs High School. Even three days later, the chills and excitement of how the championship was won has not even begun to wear off.
The Govs honored the seniors along with every member of the Governor wrestling team as coaches addressed the team and couldn’t hold back the emotion of what it meant to see them win the state dual championship. The event also recognized the girls accomplishment for being the first ever females to compete in a state wrestling event not just for the Governors but also in the entire state and the history they made.

The Govs finished in third in the dual and the hopes of having a girls team championship in the near future is something Pierre would love to see.
