District 24 Senator Mary Duvall of Pierre says she’s trying to avoid news and information about the Ravnsborg investigation, specifically the release of interviews Ravnsborg had with investigators from North Dakota by the Governor’s office…
District 24 Representative Mike Weisgram of Fort Pierre is also trying to stay away from information about the case in the media…
On Friday, three law enforcement groups release a joint statement calling for Ravnsborg to resign. The South Dakota Fraternal Order of Police, Chief’s of Police Association and Sheriff’s Association say Ravnsborg’s involvement in the death of Joe Boever have resulted in a quote “lack of confidence in his ability to effectively carry out his duties as the chief law enforcement officer in South Dakota.” A 10-member panel may be appointed to see if Ravnborg engaged in impeachable offenses when the resolution is debated Wednesday if the impeachment resolution is amended.
