Although tied in points for first place, the Oahe Capitals can’t just win out and be league champions of the 2020-2021 season. The Caps will need some help in the Brookings Rangers losing in any fashion to clinch the league title.
The three game weekend begins with two tough games against the third and fourth place teams in the standings as the Caps will face the Rushmore Thunder on Friday and Sioux Falls 2 on Saturday. Oahe will finish the season on Sunday at home against Mitchell.
The Caps lost to Rushmore last Saturday, 6-1, but can quickly return the favor just as they avenged the Brookings loss this past Sunday. On Saturday, the Caps facing Sioux Falls 2, will be looking for a season sweep of the Flyers are winning 4-2 back in the first weekend of February. The Capitals beat Mitchell 7-1 on the road and will look for a season sweep of the Marlins and end the regular season on the right note.
